About Fiberglass

Though you do not see it when you look at a Water Structures water feature, there is most often a fiberglass shell behind the stone or tile finish. Fiberglass has a long proven record in the water containment business. One has only to look at a 50 year old fiberglass boat to see the strength and durability of the material. Fiberglass, unlike metals, is not affected by the chemicals and minerals in water features.

In short, there is nothing more durable and less likely to leak than a seamless, fiberglass shell. Water Structures has been manufacturing and warranting its fiberglass shells for over 20 years, which makes us the logical choice for architects and owners who are understandably concerned with short and long term liabilities.
